Done a lot, yes.... Done to death, no. There's still plenty of life left
in that 'young' horse.

My local music shop's biggest increase in sales of late has come from
pianos. Yep, its that old old old design that just keeps on coming back.
Why? Because it sounds nice. That's it. Its not about making new and
innovative sounds all the time. Its about making music. I like to think
I don't need to have a new sound to play with, just the same sound
playing different notes, lengths and volumes.

BTW: If you are after really odd and unusual noises, E-Mu samplers have
this thing on them called 'x-mult'. Some sort of convolution program,
that generates really outstanding timbres.
