I'm not familiar with the Oddy in particular, but it sounds like the filter
cutoff trimmer needs to be adjusted.  Your center frequency is probably too
high, so you only hear LP output when the slider is all the way up.

The bass drops off in many LP filters when resonance increases.  Your
center frequency is too high, so when the bass cuts out, you hear nothing.

It's quite possible the filter may be working perfectly... besides being
miscalibrated.
