This pile of old crap was used by a guy named Phil Weingarten to make 
bogus (excuse me, "replica") DeForest Audion triodes in the 1980s. 
Phil was banned from the Antique Wireless Association for life because 
of his activities. He allegedly passed some of his homemade tubes
off as originals....genuine Audions sell for thousands of dollars.

He lied to the guy who bought it, who is now trying to sell Phil's 
junk on eBay for (he hopes) a big sum. His reserve is $50,000, I have heard.

Among other problems here, thoriated filament wire was NOT used in
the original Audions! It wasn't invented until 1920. Original Audions
used tantalum wire filaments.

If you buy something on eBay, keep this in mind.
