Wait a second here.  Why don't you get some thin plastic in all the colors
you want and cut out some washers.  Size the washers so that the banana
jack would go through the hole in the center and stick out 1/16" or so
around the jack.   The washers would be held in place by the jack, so the
color could be changed at any time.

hmmm...  after looking at the Modcan site at those bright colored jacks, I
don't know if looking for colored ring around the jack would make it too
hard to see (like - on stage looking through two dozen patch cables).   I
don't know... try it!    see if it works.

If you are interested in seeing what it looks like, I've got hole punches,
drill press and stuff.   I can knock out a half dozen or so.   What colors
you want?
