Ever see a Harmonium??

I'll bet you could turn a piano into a Forier
transformer by placing guitar pickups under each
string and placing a speaker to pump sounds onto the
strings. As the signal nears the natural freq of the
strings they will vibrate and the pickups will produce
a signal. Like feedback on a guitar. Not really
portable, tho'.
