Hi Rudd!
As far as banana conversions or adjustments...
There are none!
(at least I don't do anything special, except to run a grounding wire
between the front panel and the PCB. I mount the PCB to the panel with
screws and threaded aluminum stand-offs, which provide a great place to
insert a little grounding lug between the panel and the standoff.
The only real concern with bananas that I find is between machines.
I always add a green banana jack somewhere on the outside of any synths that
I own that is tied to the power supply ground. this way you have the option
of simply running a green ground wire between machines as the shield cables
of "ususal" patch cords normally do.
Honestly even this is often not required,
(usually only to cure a hum problem)
I bought over (18) of these from John and so far no problems whatsoever with
bananas!
have you seen the Dark Star hot rod modifications here?
http://www.hotrodmotm.com/ds_mods.htm
(they're pretty easy but the FILTER OUT mod requires cutting one little
trace on the pcb before adding a chip or a socket...
Best Wishes!
Cynthia
