If the Dark Star is running off the same supply as the rest of your modules,
and therefore the same ground, you should be fine. As far as the benefit of
the sheliding, considering and assuming your current system doesn't use them
as it is fit with banana's already, you should be Downtown-Freddy Brown
without them (you'll be OK)
If you are NOT running the Dark Star from the same supply, make sure the
grounds of those two power systems are connected or it ain't gonna work for
ya.
