To all,
Foist, thanks to all for responding to my query about
SA571 availability. It turns out Signetics still makes
them.
Here is why I asked. I've been studying phase shifter
schematics on Grant Richter's web site:
http://www.musicsynthesizer.com/Diode%20Phaser/Diode%20Phaser.html
I was interested in the ARP Quadra schematic. Does
anyone know why a compandor was included? I figure its
either for noise reduction or dynamic range
enhancement, possibly both. Running the signal thru 28
transistors has got to be noisy.
Has anyone built one of these beasties?
