Yes that is correct. Actually I usually use 22ga seven strand wire...and
strip the insulation from it and use each separate strand. This is about
26 or 28 gauge bare wire.
Its easier and cheaper (for me) than using solid bus wire.
I do buy the teflon sleeve separately. I consider it well worth it... but I
only insulate those wires which cross... and I lay out the wiring carefully so
there
are FEW wires that cross.
I usually draw a sketch of each IC subcircuit (like one opamp, usually dual or
quad...
and all the components that belong to that IC) and then breadboard with one
pushpin
per component lead (so two pins hold one resistor, one cap)
This is a little goofy, if you figure I just spent 10 cents to mount a 1 cent
part... but if you have
to CHANGE that value, the T-42 can be resoldered maybe 20-30 times... try that
with a
copper clad board :^P Its also very easy to make wiring changes by just
unsoldering
and re-soldering from the bottom of the board.
I'll try to get a good picture of one of my boards to illustrate. I don't have
one clear
enough for a learning experience :^P
