OK, here's one thing to try.
Short out the battery supply to the RAM chips. Do this at the memory
chips and not at the battery though, since the batery will not like to
be shorted directly. And do it with the power off.
Then switch her back on, and run auto tune. I have solved one of the
bigger problems with an OB-8 I have in for repair right now by this very
method. Data can get corrupted in the RAM of an OB-8, this can then
cause the processor to seriously hiccup.
However, this one I have here has still no arpeggiator and it won't go
into calibration mode without misbehaving. So I'm still struggling. It
may be duff RAM, or it may be duff software. [or maybe a duff
technician.... :-)].
