[sdiy] Juno-60 to MIDI via WAV!

Greetings! A few minutes ago, a thought about a possibly workable
solution to my earlier posting, about an easy way of converting
Juno-60 output to MIDI without a DCB<->MIDI converter, came to mind.
Recalling that .wav files can be converted to MIDI, now I'm thinking
that I'll just record something from the Juno-60 to a .wav file,
convert that to a MIDI file, using that as an input to a software
synth.---which doesn't do things in real-time anyway. :-) That doesn't
mean that I'm giving up thinking about a hardware solution, however.
Any thoughts on this?
Time to get back to building some tube circuitry now that a package
containing a couple of 6BN6 and 6AR8 tubes has arrived... a couple of
years ago, I purchased an old LaFayette 2424 tube amplifier that had
been carelessly modified by a former owner, but it does appear to have
a decent PSU in it, and it will make a great chasis for a balanced
modulator. wavefolder and variable duty soft waveform clipper (thanks
to Metasonix for the schematics, which I'm modifying a bit for my own
use!).
