When I look at this it resembles an old plant with full of pipes
going everywhere. The bad look isn't yet so bad. When I think about
the time I spent wiring it, I'd never do it again. It was probably
more time consuming than soldering whole PCB. And my envelope
generators look even worse - similar amount of wire in smaller space.
That's why I don't do it any more and strongly recommend to everyone
who haven't tried it yet. Since then I make larger PCBs that cover
whole module, and mounting a pot is a matter of simply bending it's
leads and soldering to PCB. It's more expensive and PCB design isn't
trivial. Imagine making double sided PCB for a module as big as
sequencer can be. Mine SQ boards were ones of most expensive PCB
orders I ever placed. But no longer messy wiring and besides - it
looks so much better.
