Actually no, it wasn't as good as this. If you selected one of the
so-called 'sample' waveforms you couldn't filter them at all. You could
only filter the two types of traditional waveforms.

Which is actually pretty impressive...

But the D50 predated the M1, and as such was the first to use this type
of sample and synth synthesis. But Korg's version was better as was the
later Al2 Korg stuff.

Still that said, the D50 was a remarkable instrument at the time. And on
board effects, albeit rather terrible, were an amazing addition for the
gigging musician. For a long time it was the only keyboard I ever used.
