I actually made something like that once. I took 3
LFOs and ran them into urrent generators that drove a
3-color LED (RGB). The impressive quotient was
diminished by the fact that the colors come from
separate die, and this made for incomplete color
mixing.

Maybe I'll ressurect this for an indicator on a triple
LFO...
