Please forgive my utter and profound ignorance on this subject (although I find
the reading here quite fascinating)...
In my undereducated way of thinking, this problem is like reading sine and/or
cosine signals from a disk that rotates at the behest of an ideal electric DC
motor. Imagine that the modulating signal is the DC applied to the motor (now
this *is* and ideal DC motor which doesn't actually exist...). If the DC input
to the motor is reversed, the system runs backwards.
My question is: Is it possible to electronically (analogue) model this system?
I realize that there are numerous problems in this, not the least of which is
that the DC motor must have massless parts, no brushes, no friction and an
inability to stall anywhere in it's revolution.
