Pitch, actually, but that's for another topic.

(snipping personal comments in the interest of science
and scientific content)

Here is a 24-bit 96KHz file of a couple of
seconds of the Moog and then the Selector,
both at the same pitch as before, for reference.

This won't play in most systems so open it in a
24/96 -friendly format.

The variation in harmonic content from cycle
to cycle should be visible at the upper edge
of each waveform.

Of course, the point is at the pitch level..in
terms of interesting movement, which reduces
predictability and tedium in raw tone, which
produces a more interesting piece of gear to
work with, which results in a more musical
experience, which for some of us, is the point
of analog synthesis. The joy of using the gear,
knowing why it does what it does, and sharing
the knowledge so that others may try it out.
In patch charts or factory programs or...

Not that any of this matters on AH ;;-)

(snipping tangents unrelated to pitch or waveform content)

I'm waiting for the scientists to make some nice
electronic music.

And I believe that you're correct. Analogue Heaven is
hardly the place for the discussion of science. It's
for the ownership and use of analog gear, and why each
piece sounds a certain way, and especially, what this
means in terms of what music it may be good for, or not.

Let's leave the tedious numbers to the scientists,
and discuss making music and sound design on AH.

I've CC'd synthDIY so that any interested in discussing
the cycle to cycle differences may do so.

Happy New Year!

Easier,
