[sdiy] Plastic Panels

The main problem with plastic is making holes in it. Some plastics work
better than others. I seem to recall you want to use a polycarbonate
plastic, but, I would not take my word on that at all.
The reason we use aluminum is that it is fairly easy to work with. I
drills easy (even easier than plastic), and it is stronger.
Personally, I am starting to avoid even drilling my own panels. Getting
schaeffer panels made, at least for me, is a lot more cost effective.
However, you might want to give plastic a try, to see. What works for one
person does not mean it works for everybody. But you will have to do some
experimentation in drilling plastic...and I would suggest experimenting on
scraps first if you can. You may discover it isn't worth the pain in the
neck...(I personally have never be successful at drill plastic).
