I was just at the future active website ( http://www.future-active.com ),
and was alarmed to discover that they seem to no longer cafry the CA3280E
(well, they no longer stock it). This was the last place I knew of that
would sell them in reasonable quantities at a reasonable price. In
January, I will be making another purchase of these, to make sure I will
have a constant supply of them.
They are still active devices, according to the Inersil web site. The only
three distributors stocking them are Arrow, Avnet, and Newark. Avnet has
the best price, but a 500 piece minimum. Newark is kind of pricey. Not
familiar with Arrow.
Anybody else know of any other place to get this part reliably? I can
remember when you could still get them at Digikey, and I thought at one
time Mouser used to carry them, the point being is that one by one
distributors are dropping this part.
