One of my customers makes pedal boards for church organ and he uses
reed switches with great success. However the distance between adjacent
reeds is over 3cm and still he had problems selecting proper reed switches
and magnets. The smaller the better (reeds and magnets).
I don't know exactly what kind he uses, that's his secret.
He hasn't used any magnetic shielding tho.
