While surfing for 3900 related info, I found a few interesting things...
well, I thought they were interesting. The last link (Gnome schematics) has
several fairly useful synth circuits. Beginners should note however, that
the Gnome VCO and VCF are linear response (not exponential like ARP and Moog
stuff), and they are not the most stable in the world. What they are, is
inexpensive, easy to throw together and kinda fun to play with.

Op amp listing showing best for slew rate, best for input current, etc (best
according to research by students at one university, so this is not "THE
LAST WORD" by any means).

Op amp tutorial. Op amp basics, a few circuits, and a +/- 12V regulated
supply for running the op amp circuits. Mostly about the 741, a little 3900
info.

An inverting op amp with 0 to +10V in and 0 to +300V (!!!) out. Yipes!

National Semi ap notes. National no longer makes the 3900, but they still
have ap notes on line. AN-72 is a big download (46 pages) but has lotsa neat
applications.
