[sdiy] test-mode/calibration jp8

Hello,
maybe this is OT...
Question is: if a jp-8 is tuned and you put it into test-mode will it then loose it's tuning data? or won't this affect it's tuning positions?
If anyone calibrated a jp-8, how did you do that? I have just followed the procedure in the service-manual using an guitar-tuner an a frequency-counter on mine comp, have you done it in a other way?
