List,
i'm just starting in diy-electronics, at this time i never would change a power-suply, since i'm a beginner,
i just wanted to know if that is possible, i'm trying to figure out the service-manual, but still a long way to go, i'v ordered some books, i hope this list can help on mine journey even when it is modifying/servicing a commercial synth.
Apparently i have some questions, but don't know if it fits here so it may skipped..., here they are:
- what is a tempco?
- Does a synth only run on AC or also DC, what is that excactly in synth terms?

Not really....juergan haible is perhaps the most important person on the list after Rik Janssen (the list founder)...a newbie who hasn't read the service manual of the synth he is planning on modifying (as opposed to building from scratch, like Juergan's clone of the Korg PS3100) comes rather a way down the list....I expect that you can do what you want as there is probably a switch setting on the power board for 100/220V.....or else a re-config of the transofrmer circuitry.....Although we do mod already constructed commercial synths we really are about buildign from scratch, either new designs or replicas..... If you are talking about polysynth stuff then Juergan Haible is the guy you need to be talking to.......

strange list, this is synth-diy, i'm asking as a starter if it is possible (internally) to put a 220v transformer in a synth that has 110v and if there are other electronics involved, no answers at all to mine question, and on a topic that seems not to fit here, that mailbombing thing, and that gets a lot of reaction.....is this a networking list??? strangeeeeeeeeeeeeee! thx for the help anyway......
