Michael,
Don't know if you can still get them but HP used to make a carousel for
their plotters that took ink pens. Worth keeping an eye on eBay maybe?
I think that Staedler (not sure about the spelling there, but it's close and
I think they're quite well known) took over supplying all pens for HP
plotters when HP moved to inkjet for theirplotters. Maybe a good office
supply company would be able to help?
As for what kind of ink to use . . . I'm sure a web search would turn up
someone who's been doing it for years. I have no idea other than it would
have to be insoluble in water . . . spirit based maybe?

Now this is something that i dreamed of for a long time. But i never
got around to find a suitable pen, and make an adapter so it could
fit to the plotter´s pen carriage.
