Listers --

The latest issue (Sept/Oct 2003) of The Home Shop Machinist has an article
by Ted Roubal entitled "Functional Sheet Metal Enclosures from Sheet Brass
and Aluminum" that may be of interest to people making custom enclosures,
panels, etc.

Topics include: layout techniques, accurate and clean drilling of all sized
holes, bending, filing, deburring, soldering, polishing, and protecting. A
great collection of the best techniques to use.

As an example, here's one I never heard of -- a drill-press operated
deburring tool. It has a spring-loaded blade that pops in and out of the
shaft, deburring the top surface as the tool is inserted and the bottom one
as it is removed, without enlarging the hole at all.

HSM may be a bit hard to find, and their articles generally suffer from
poor (i.e., nonexistent) editing, but this one might be worth tracking down.
