[sdiy] Moog 904 transistors and caps

Hi all,

My next project is going to be a Moog 904A/B/C filter clone.  Would it
be reasonable to use 2N3904/2N3906 transistors in place of the hard to
find original transistors?  Would they horribly alter the sound?

Also, what type of caps were used in the 904?  I know different cap
types do have an effect on the sound of a filter.
