MIDI to Korg MS-10 Adaptations Re: [sdiy] midi2CV

The Synhouse MIDIJack seems like a neat thing, but I'm confused on one
point: They say that the "Original MIDIJack" is for volts/octave
(exponential) synths, while the MIDIJackk II is for volts/hertz (linear)
synths. But they ALSO list both units as being compatible with the early
Korg MS series. This can't be right. Seems to me the MIDIJack II is really
what the Korg needs to play properly. Maybe I'll pop a note off to Synhouse
and try to get some clarification on this.

By the way, I think Mr. Hess' idea of using a Fatman as a MIDI-CV converter
is a great one! What would the group recommend as a similar setup for
volts/octave synths (keep it as close to $100 as possible)?
