Yes, and if you have one of these early shunt regulator power supplies,
the problem may be worse. Increased mains voltage since the days
when they built this (erly version), so you may need a larger power
resistor (higher resistance _and_ a higher power rating).
I have no practical experience with this (decided to go for a different
supply on my clone).
