[sdiy] ot: help needed, what are Shure PG line microphones

I want to buy a SM57 microphone, but stumbled about
the new line of PG type microphones.
They seem to be copies of the original SM types,
but lower in pricing. Suspicious.

So what is the trick? No output transformer?
Or where does Shure save the money?

Or is it just the same capsule, transformer, but not
the SM brand which reduces the price?
The polar characteristics and frequency diagrams
give no hint...

Some opinion, please.
