It's always funny how people underestimate the volume of amplifiers.
Happends to me as well.

10W is *way* to loud for home. That's 1/2 of the volume you get from a 100W
amp. Nothing I want to have in my living room.

Reminds me of a friend who asked me to build a 1W Class-A headphone amp.

I refused 'cause I don't liked the idea to build an amplifier that can
permanently ruin the ears. Now he has 300mW, and I doubt he ever pushed it
harder than 100mW.
