Yah when I wrote the text stuff I didn't understand it myself. :)

What is it that Zappa said - "talking about waveforms is like dancing about
architecture"?

A good DAW should be able to import an MP3 and show the waveform morph.

An mp3 would be really great and much appreciated.  It's easy to record the 
playback audio to see and hear the waveforms.
