Oh, that's right, I forgot. You're supposed to sleep
in the shed, next to the lawn mower. How silly of me.
The good news is I figured out how to solve the snake
problem: hang cable trays from the ceiling. That way
you can clear a walk path, and it gives your home that
great post-modern industrial look that women love.
Several years ago I was working in a NASA control center
at MSFC that did payload ops for Shuttle and Spacelab.
The computer room in the facility had a raised floor
about 18" off the slab. The facility had been re-wired
numerous times since the '60s, and every time new
cables went in, they just got laid on top of the old
ones under the floor. By around 1995 the buildup had
gotten to the point where the floor tiles wouldn't sit
level in some places because the cable buildup was
all the way up to the floor grid. At that point we
found that we had to do a major re-wiring job to
straighten out the UPS and backup generator wiring.
The whole mess had to come out. It made a pile about
10 feet across and 20 feet in diameter behind the building.
Some copper scrap dealer probably retired on that. :-)
