Troy,
Where to start? Right here!
PCB material? Ocean State Electronics
http://www.oselectronics.com
8x10" single-side $6.25. They also have etchant and
tin plating chemicals.
For drills I went to McMaster-Carr and bought new
ones. Carbide PCB drills are about $3.50 each, steel
is about $0.80. The carbide drills have 1/8" shanks,
but the cheaper steel bits are small shank and I had
to get a small chuck so my drill press would hold
them.
Mike Brown (of this list) got some impressive results
with Techniks Press-n-Peel Blue transfer film for
making PCB boards. I bought some but haven't tried it
yet.
