i can tell my better half is going to hate this list.

all this talk of microcontrollers, and now it seems completely unreasonable
for me to buy the MIDI merge box i was planning to when i'm perfectly
capable of finding enough information to design and build one myself.  and
when it drops note-off messages, then i'll know how to fix it.  *grin*
