[sdiy] Deja Vu

Hey,
Boy, did I just have an out-of-mind experience. Late
last night I was studying how to make the 68HC11 SPI
interface talk to a DAC I want to use. This morning I
decided to use a more modern uP and got the datasheet
for the Atmel AT80S8515. When I looked at the SPI
interface section, I saw the same diagrams I was
looking at last night. I mean, the diagrams were
identical, the registers had the same names, even the
flags mostly had the same names. Wierd....
I have to admit, for a moment I was disorented. But
after not finding Scully in my room (dang!) and not
finding black oil in my eyes, I finally came to the
conclusion that Atmel must have bought the 68HC11
design stuff from Motorola.
So as luck would have it, my work last night was not
wasted, even though I switched from a MOT part to an
AVR.
Thank Bog for small victories!
