Yo,

It occurs to me that a perfect sawtooth is a very
unnatural thing. It's the quest for that nanosecond
reset time that is causing all the problems. Do we
really need harmonics that extend into the amateur
radio bands? Having slayed the reset dragon in my own
oscillators, I'm now wondering if what we really need
is a triangle oscillator that can vary its symmetry
over a wide range without changing frequency. The
ability to vary the harmonic content of the oscillator
output gives us another method for creating timberal
dynamics.
