thanks to all who responded to my normalization question. that helped clarify a lot. i have another question, if anyone can help...

given the prices of Roland system 100 synths these days, i'd like to build an oscillator, filter, and maybe noise or ringmod (those are definitely tertiary...) to obtain a similar sound character. i found the schematics on a site, but i am apprehensive on designing and etching a pcb; especially given my (paia) fatman-level experience. so my question would be: 

are there any kits/pcbs out there that have a sound-alike character to this synth or can be subsequently modded to such specifications?

i don't really expect an exact match, as some of the parts are probably discontinued, but a close one will do... ;)
