Yes that's an option, and I think some have done that in the past.  It does 
increase the effect of input impedance loading, though, so that might be a 
concern.  Many people try to keep a standart 100k input resistance because 
of that.

Say, I think that could be right.  The only way to tell for sure is to try 
to order some. I'd go for 10 to play with if they were only 63 cents.

Gee, with that kind of saving I could afford some more op amps!
