[sdiy] A different approach to frequency shifting?

The Weaver method, phasing method and "filter" method (using quartz
crystal filters to remove unwanted sideband) are the traditional
approaches for generating SSB.

The phasing method seems the most suitable/practical for audio
applications, particularly if you want to do stable, small frequency
shifts.

It might be possible to use the Weaver method with good results if
switched-capacitor filters were used for the brickwall function.

Use of a DDS chip to generate stable baseband sin/cos from a single
reference could be helpful - wide range, low drift, low distortion.
