thanks for all the info guys...
I've compiled code that works with the SCI of the microcontroller,
everything's looking good.
Let me run through my thoughts to make sure they're correct.
Sending the hex out with one start bit, one stop bit through two inverters
and a 220ohm resistor to pin 5. This will create the current logic data.
Pin 2 will be tied to the ground of the microcontroller.
Pin 4 will be tied to +5v from the microcontroller though a 220ohm resistor.
pins 1 & 3 are not used.
Since there's some confusion about pin numbers, I am using this convention...
