Thanks you all for giving hints,

I'll check out what wrong this evening. Shouldn't be to hard to find out. I
don't have all the test equipment I would like to have, but tracing and
injecting a signal is no problem.

Most probably it is a electrolyt cap anyways. That would make perfect sense
'cause the bus amplifier is directly beneath the power supply, and the mixer
is on power for more than 5 years now :)
