Shocking, indeed, Trevor! Thank you for pointing out these URL's to me!
I certainly do not pretend to be the smartest guy on this planet, and having my own business as a synth manufacturer does not qualify me as a brainy guy. Sometimes it's nice to ask people for help if you are unsure of something, or you are querying your thoughts on what you are doing- if was was brighter, I'd be able to pass on my knowledge on to others in the synth community, but I really am never so definitely certain that what advice I'd give would not be wrong or corrupt. It never fails to facinate me, just how brainy some of the people are on this list- I seen and read some really amazing things! My works are more often too primitive for me even to submit ideas. It does have to said, though- running a business like this requires far more than just a knowledge of electronics- you have to be astute in business for example, and your sales dynamics have to be spot on too...or you are not to be in business for long. It has been a while now since I built synths as diy project!
 s, which is sad.
Regards, Ken

Google + "Capacitor colour code" reveals hundreds of useful sites,
including:

Subject: [sdiy] Coloured Stripe Polyester Capacitor Values-

Hi list!- I've got some old organ pcbs with lots of polyester film caps
that have coloured stripes to designate their values- I'm assuming that
to read them, I read them like resistor colour codes- is this correct?
Also, does anyone or can anyone point me to any web info concerning
this- I've tried, but cannot find!
Hoping everyone is well, regards, Ken
