[sdiy] making pultec and neve-esque type stuff

compared to most on this list i am a beginner but have a question

could someone with basic electronic skills make something like a LA-2a or a pultec type eq or similar things

ive looked inside these units and theres not alot going on in there

are there parts available for such projects and where ? how about schematics and parts lists?

i really want to build something , as most of my"work" is repairs for myself and id just liek toi give it a try !!

any linkjs or sources for DIY'ing that sort of stuff would be great and any ideas or info to help out a beginner would be even better
