I agree... you need one or two people who know their beans to be 'editors'
and sort the content and suggest improvements/re-writes where needed..
I beleive everyone can offer something.

As for what sort of level, well I would suggest you have several levels (as
someone else suggested).
Beginner, knows what a soldering iron is and which end to hold.
Novice, knows how to use soldering iron and has built some electronics
intermediate, has built some synth stuff and can grasp most of the concepts
involved
Advanced, has built a lot of synth circuits and designed a few
Expert, designs circuits from scratch and can analys circuits just from
glancing at the schematics
