[sdiy] This OB-8 is sending me up the wall

Thanks to everyone who mailed me pivately and on list about the OB-8
with the strange detuning effects.

JH > Are you sure that you don't have an intervall *programmed* for the
upper and lower part of the split?

I was hoping it would be that simple, but I had tried everything the
service manual and front panel suggested. But, you are indeed the man of
the moment once again. The unit had a new set of RAM chips fitted and
the system defaults to a random state, including the very well hidden
split/dual layer detune mode. By pressing the 'split' and 'manual'
buttons together it resets to the standard detune of zero. Its not in
the Service manual but it is in the Owner's manual.

A sad case of RTFM I fear. And I should know better. Thanks especially
to Juergen and to Colin for your help in this matter.
