I have worked with these designs and I agree that are quite 
good, especially for their lack of complexity. The designs 
on my website are partly based on the MAP designs, but with 
many additions. They have a much wider range of sounds 
because of this, but my first priority is still realism.

This sounds like a great suggestion, can anyone make any 
specific recommendations based on the posted schematics? I 
don't have much experience with this, nor many instruments 
to interface with to try out.
