Its Analog Modeling.  I have one.  Sounds fine I think.  Midi trigger only, 
well, you can hit the Audition button.  Aint much inside it.

Wish Trevor Page had sold a "9090 Complete Kit"...

Anyway, you could easily drive this thing from something like a Midi Drum 
Brain from PAIA and I'm sure there are some other things on the net you
could build to trigger it.  Maybe pick up a MidiKiti on evilbay for $50.
