Hi, from the other side of the globe.
Can a raw sawtooth sound fat comparing to others? What is so special about it?
Can someone point me to some WAV samples of it? I found a schematic somewhere,
but I wouldn't like to bother breadboarding it just of curiousity.

Subject: [sdiy] discrete VCOs
Hi there from Australia.
I have built a bit of synth stuff in the past - I really like the old sounding
stuff, the discrete stuff - I don't care if it wonders a little - the best VCO I
have ever built was an ARP Axxe style sawtooth VCO which sounded really good but
can only do one waveform. There are some great VCOs posted on the web but most
of them don't quite have that fat tone.
I am looking for schematics for old discrete synth stuff in particular VCOs. Can
anyone help?
Has anyone out there ever built any clones - got PCB designs - schematics - any
tips?ARP,MOOG,EMS,etc etc.
Anyone built a Moog 901 or 921 VCO ?
I'm just a sucker for that sound!
Peace
Mike B
