Looks a bit similar to the Philips EE sets,
good way to learn read schematics IMO.
My EE set was prone to bad connections and made me learn (to value)
soldering at a young age.
Otherwise, for a kid with parents who don't trust a 10 year old with a iron
this is probably the only way out ;^p
