I've built both, and have them racked up with a PAIA drum tone board.
They're pretty cool unmodded, though as someone else said, there are some
potential mods that would make them even cooler.  A neat one would be to
make 'em velocity sensitive.  Some PLLs synched to the oscillators might do
something interesting, too.

They are fairly unique sounding drums, as well.  They aren't cloned from
Roland or Simmons voices, so if that's what you're after, they may not be
your thing.  Judged on their own merits, they're good.  The Snare is a more
complex version of the bass drum, so if you can only get one, get the snare.
