[sdiy] Adding softsync and linear FM

I was looking at the PCB for the Doepfer A-110 VCO and
noticed Soft Sync and Linear FM markings.  I checked
this schematic and indeed found the same information

What does the dashed line pointing to the resistor
mean in the softsync and linear fm stubs?  Does that
really just mean add a pot and jack?  Am I reading
that correctly?  I'm guessing the pots should be 50k
linear just like the other CV pots.  It can't be THAT
easy, can it?
